There's no better day to wind down a busy day than a nice warm bath and some snugglin in your PJ's! This week it was twice as fun with both the girls. This part of the day always makes me wish I was that young again, it's just so fun!

One of Lily's favorite laughs from the weekend came from an afternoon at the park. After she flew her kite for all of 5 minutes, leaving it with her uncle, she made a B-line for the playground yelling "Nice princess kite you've got there uncle Ty!!"

As shy as our little bug can be at times, she absolutely loves being around other little people. Having her 4 1/2 yr old cousin Lily here for the week was a real treat! We had so much fun with the girls. Lane absolutely adores her cousin! We had fun making cupcakes, visiting the Grace Children's Museum, hanging out at the park, reading books, playing outside, you name it, we packed the week full of fun!

We hope you can come back soon Lily Bean, we miss you tons already!

Happy Birthday Papa!

We celebrated Ty's dad Jim's Birthday this past week, it was a very special day! There aren't many sweeter things than the love Lane's Papa has for her. There will definately be some fun between these two in the future! We love you and hope you had a wonderful Birthday!

We have to say thank you to our company who shared some of Lane's discomfort this past week. It was perfect timing as the night they all arrived little miss Laney Bug got her 2 front teeth at 3:30 am. The next few days brought 2 more surprises to make a total of 4 teeth in 5 days! Lane was a trooper that's for sure, and it was so nice having our visitors to help out!

Fun with Family

This past week has been full of fun times as we had some company in town. Meema and cousin Lily came to spend the week with us, and Aunt C joined us as well for the weekend. We had a great time just relaxing and catching up with everyone, just wish we could all be closer!! There is nothing like the love of family!!

8 Months!

My how time flies!!! Our sweet baby Lane turned 8 months old this past week, we can hardly believe it! Lane gives us more joy each and every day. Sometimes we wish we could just press pause on life for awhile to enjoy all of these precious moments even longer!

At 8 months Lane now weighs 18 pounds, and is 28 inches long. She enjoys sitting up big to play with her toys, and rolling around on the floor (especially when we are trying to change her diaper). She has become somewhat mobile on her tummy. Although it's usually just in circles and backwards across the floor, she is having fun with it. She enjoys listening to her own voice and seeing just how loud she can get while practicing her sounds. We have decided that her first word is Mama, which I love! My heart melts when she's calling for me as she wakes up.

Lane has always been very partial to her mommy and daddy. She has a pretty shy and cautious personality, but definitely loves being around other kiddos and knows how to be just as silly as ever! She loves getting out and about to run errands, I don't think the employees at our grocery store can stand going one week without seeing her.

We are having the time of our life with our precious little bug. It is so much fun watching her grow and become the sweet little girl she is. We are truly blessed!

Boot Scootin Buggy

Well it looks like our little Laney Bug is on the move, it just happens to be in the wrong direction! Lane and I were playing in our living room last week on a cold day when she decided to scoot herself backwards all the way across the kitchen floor. It ws so much fun for her, she was so proud!

Fun with friends

As you know we headed to our old stomping ground last weekend to celebrate the New Year with our friends. The Twellman family graciously opened their cozy home to the three of us for 4 whole days! We had such a fun filled weekend and plenty of kiddos for Lane to play with. It was so fun watching them together and posing them for pictures. As it is always said, they grow so fast!

We had so much fun over the weekend, it definately went way too fast! Thank you Andy, Sally, Drew, and Quinn for having us at your home. We appreciate everything you did to make us so comfortable!

Happy New Year!

Ty, Lane and I headed down to Austin to ring in the New Year with some of our closest friends. With the kids all tucked in bed, we slipped away for a fun evening at Jayne and Billy's place. I think the only time I left the kitchen from all of the fabulous food and conversation was for the countdown at midnight. We had such a fun time visiting with friends we haven't seen in several months. It was definately a great start to 2010!
